I am a ceramicist specialising in functional home and restaurant wares. I work predominantly in hand building techniques, without the aid of the wheel, techniques which result in a sturdy and tactile product that wears it's making on it's sleeve. I produce work in neutral colours, wanting the colour of the clay, the evidence of its material, at the visual forefront.
Having an extensive background in both restaurants and kitchens, and my degree in Fine Art Sculpture is what has lead me to my functional ceramics practice, with a lot of my work focussing on food and sharing. My Fine Art roots guide my larger one-off pieces and love of food plays a large role in the design of my functional works.
I have worked on small scale commissions for both restaurants and individuals. I love the opportunity to work creatively with clients, please do get in touch to discuss a project, large or small.
I'm located in the Anthology Deptford Foundry site in South East London. Please contact me if you would like to pop in.
